Apples and Pumpkins and Farms - Oh My!

Now that summer 2013 has come to a soft ending, coupled with the advent of autumn, apple harvesting is in full stride. Whether its caramel apples or dutch apple pie that you love, the scrumptious apples from Brook Hollow Farm are the perfect ingredient for any dish. And don't forget about pumpkins - they're in full bloom. Brook Hollow Farm is located about two miles down the road from us here at The Rosemary Inn in Columbia, New Jersey. The Rosemary Inn is located not even a mile from the Delaware River, and just across is Baarda Farms, where we get the fresh produce to make our delicious homemade breakfasts. Baarda Farms is located in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. On Saturday October 12th and Sunday the 13th, the Northampton County will be hosting an Open Gate Farm Tour from 1-5 p.m. for all the farms in the area. Come out and enjoy a peaceful scenic day in the country, learn some history, and indulge in some of the finest produce this side of the Mississippi.
